Our target is to increase the service life of friction wedges. The company is in a continuous search for innovative design, engineering solutions and new materials for creation of advanced friction wedges that can be installed in freight trucks of different types, the production of friction wedges should be technically feasible, it should have low material and production costs and relevant protection from counterfeiting and copying.
Our accomplishments
SotekComCentre LLC uses a number of new technical solutions aimed at improvement of manufacturability and reduction of friction wedge cost. The company has developed a friction wedge SKTS LLC No.1699.04.007 Drawing which provides inter-overhaul period of freight car truck equal to 160 thousand kilometres.

The company has designed Friction wedge 1699.04.007-01 of reinforced design.
The advantage and value of such design under condition of its perfect matching with Type 2 trucks, is the interchangeability with the already existing wedge designs of the project PKB CV M 1698.00.003. The wedge has improved technical characteristics and provides a guaranteed run between overhauls of 210 thousand kilometres.
Plombs
All wedge models manufactured by SotekComCentre are individually numbered. The sealing is done with a plastic seal on the outer surface of the wedge.
Information on the unique number of the plastic seal shall be entered into the Technical Data Sheet for the wedge batch. As a result, it is possible to trace when, in what period of time, from where and to which consignee each particular wedge was shipped, which makes it possible to simplify and guarantee the traceability of claims.
